Sleeping is an optional, but like everything in Welcome to Elderfield your actions may have consequences. The player can go to bed at any time by interacting with the bed in their home after 6pm. While there is no requirement to sleep, staying awake for extended periods will result in increasingly severe de-buffs. When the player does choose to sleep, a die roll determines whether a good or bad event occurs, influenced by the player's Luck.
Sleep Deprivation
If the player stays awake for multiple consecutive days, they will begin to accumulate debuffs or buffs.
