THE SHORT ANSWER
The full game's Steam App ID is 3195440; the Demo is 3195680. Steam listed 10 September 2026 as the planned release date. The official September 1 Demo update is v0.11.17; the later September 8 changelog gives no build number.

Welcome to Elderfield is developed by Chris Cote and published by Kwalee. Its full game and Demo have separate Steam entries:
- Full game — App 3195440. Check this page for current release and purchase availability.
- Demo — App 3195680. This is the separate app linked in the official v0.11.17 announcement.
A Demo version number does not identify the full game's build. Likewise, the planned date on a store page does not prove that the game had unlocked when a guide was checked.

Dates below are the announcement publication dates in UTC. The sources were read on 10 September; that later check date does not make every entry a September 10 update.
Planned release day
Steam listed September 10 as the planned date. At our approximately 03:25 UTC store check, the full game still showed as not yet available. Use the live store page to check what is available now.
Demo Changelog — build number unstated
The developer reports fixing the rate applied to bait-exclusive fish, including the Leech example, and fixing sprite-based mouse interaction. These are official patch claims, not fixes independently reproduced by this site. No exact fishing probabilities or new version number are supplied here.
Demo Updated! v0.11.17
This announcement explicitly names Demo v0.11.17. It adds a Social menu for friendship and gift preferences; gifts from before the update are not added to its history retroactively.
It also says NPC gift preferences were updated with more items and shared likes and dislikes. An older exact gift table therefore needs a fresh check before you use it for this version. See controls and setup fixes for practical settings from this update.
Steam Deck Verified announcement
The official Steam news post announces that Welcome to Elderfield is Steam Deck Verified. We have checked the announcement, rather than performed a Deck playtest; this page has no measured frame-rate results or device-specific presets.

The video link is verified against the official August 18 announcement. The video player and opening were checked; the full video and transcript have not been reviewed. This page does not provide chapter times or video-derived walkthrough steps.
Before an old solution sends you in circles
- Check which app you launched. Keep Demo instructions separate from claims about the full game.
- Look for a named build or an actual patch date. v0.11.17 is documented for September 1. Do not infer a new number for September 8.
- Compare the exact feature. Gift records, gift preferences, bait behavior and interaction settings changed in the documented Demo updates.
- Read the guide's version note. Our route pages use reviewed developer and Demo statements together with captured official-wiki material. Their release-build behavior has not been independently played through for this site.
If your task or object differs, keep the current game log in view and include your app, version and location when asking in the official Steam community. A recently collected page can still describe an older build.
